The purpose of this center is two-dimensional. The concept seeks to look beyond these fragile economic times and peer into the realm of lasting truths and enduring values. Helia Resource Center looks to promote art and culture and use proceeds to develop its SRI fund, which in return helps the disadvantaged of society.
Revenue stream from the funds would be directed to where the evidence indicates that there is the potential to make the greatest difference
Art plays a crucial ideological role since it confirms the social identities of the privileged few. Demonstrate that a society that cherishes and protects individual uniqueness and freedom stands for human freedom in general
In the art world one is conditioned to expect a piece of art to appreciate in value. Under the Helia approach the concept of art morphs into one that ‘generates’ rather than the potential to simple appreciate.

The 1st half of 2020s has seen its fair share of major historic events that have greatly impacted life as we know it. First saw the global economic cylinders come to a grinding halt on the back of the coronavirus pandemic. Other incidences put into question our conscience wealth gaps and privilege. Such events have presented a moment to reflect upon one’s social responsibility in fulfilling their civic duty and actions to benefit the whole of society. But thoughts must be compelled into a formidable plan of action…
Helia Resource Center launched a Social Responsibility Fund to address global ills and bring awareness and participation in pursuit of social goals.
The current SRI project focuses on the establishment of an end-to-end electronic commodity platform designed to benefit the smallest farmers in Southern Africa (initially in Zimbabwe). Using blockchain encryption in the software to ensure all facets of the end-to-end commodity value chain are covered, tracked and monitored. The end result having the small scale farmer participating and able to receive timely payments
To further generate awareness of the concept of social investing SRI founder Donald C. Wilcox recently rode over 300 miles inside Central Park during a single ride in summer 2023. The ride came after three prior cycling events known as “everesting” (the task involves selecting a hill and complete repeats of it in a single activity until one has climbed 29,029 feet (8,848 meters) – the equivalent height of Mt Everest).Mr Wilcox has previously completed three such everesting climbs in Central Park and listed the hall of fame for his accomplishments (www.everesting.cc)
Mr. Wilcox will now plan to replicate the entire 2024 Tour De France cycling course next June. The task to complete the full route just ahead of the official 21 stage race.
